Spent the entire day claying, polishing (not complete correction but enough to take the oxidation and stains off), and waxing the RX7 before going for a short drive (which was the first since I sorted out the carb, it’s very good now). Here are some pictures.

Much better than it was, still far from perfect - which is perfect for a driver. May address the bumper some day, though. It’s pretty bad.

That’s a tape line so I could actually make sure that the oxidation was clearing up as well as it seemed to be. It was.

Driver’s door after polishing. Also visible: My feet, a jug of 10w40, and some MT90.

Getting close to taking over daily driver duty for the rest of the summer - just needs a few more things squared away.

That looks great. Good job on the paint correction. Is that a single stage paint?

Thanks! It’s base/clear fortunately. The finish on the roof has gone entirely matte, with a few areas where the clear has failed outright. Not entirely sure how I’m going to address that, yet. The correct answer is respray but that quickly snowballs into painting the whole car, which isn’t happening.
